michelleI attended Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona where I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology in 2002. Upon graduation I worked as a Case Manager at Value Options what was once the Maricopa County’s Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA), treating serious mental illnesses.

I pursued graduate training at Argosy University in Phoenix where I obtained my Masters of Arts degree in Professional Counseling. I completed my counseling internship in a school setting treating children and adolescent struggling with behavioral, emotional, and psychological issues.

I then focused her training in trauma resolution at The Meadows, a residential trauma and addiction rehabilitation center in Wickenburg, Arizona. I trained with world-renowned authors and clinicians, Pia Mellody and Claudia Black on how to approach addiction in the group setting. I also worked in at outpatient clinic providing individual therapy. In 2008, I became an independent Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona.

I pursued further graduate training at Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota where I earned my Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in clinical psychology. I completed an internship at West Valley Family Development Center in Avondale, Arizona through the Arizona Training Consortium where I provided individual and family therapy, psychological and neuropsychological assessments, and clinical supervision. I completed my post-doctoral training at Rosewood Ranch, a residential eating disorder center in Wickenburg, Arizona.

I also have specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing from the EMDR Institute, Inc.
