You’ve built the life.
Let yourself own it.
My Practice
Welcome to Serenity Foundations
Dr. Michelle Mugge, Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Professional Counselor
You’ve built a life that looks like success from the outside. But inside, there’s a persistent voice that questions whether you earned it, and a level of pressure that never quite turns off.
I work with high-achieving women navigating trauma, high-functioning anxiety, perfectionism, identity confusion, and emotional burnout. Women who appear strong and capable to everyone around them, and privately wonder when someone is going to find out they’re not.
My practice serves women in Arizona, Oregon, Ohio, and Minnesota. Virtual sessions are available across all four states, private, flexible, and built around your life.
My Approach
Treatment is collaborative, individualized, and grounded in approaches that work. I draw from EMDR, CBT, ACT, and attachment-focused therapy, selecting what fits you rather than applying a single method to every situation.
The focus is not just on reducing symptoms. It is on understanding where they came from, how they shaped the patterns you carry now, and building something more sustainable in their place.
Where We Begin
This work is not about fixing what is wrong with you. Nothing is wrong with you. It is about understanding what formed, why it formed, and what becomes possible when you stop carrying it alone.
I work alongside you, not ahead of you. The pace, the depth, and the direction are yours.
When you are ready to begin, I am here.
How I Can Help
Psychological Evaluations
A psychological evaluation provides a comprehensive picture of how you think, process, and respond. Going beyond symptoms to understand what is actually driving them.
Evaluations can clarify a diagnosis, rule out conditions that have been misidentified, and give you and your treatment providers a more accurate foundation to work from. Whether you are seeking answers for yourself or fulfilling a referral requirement, the process is thorough, confidential, and conducted with care.
Psychological assessments are available to Arizona residents only, with both virtual and in-person options.
Psychotherapy and Counseling
Therapy is not about being told what to do or how to feel. It is about developing a clearer understanding of why you respond the way you do, where those patterns came from, and what changes when you are no longer at their mercy.
I work with women navigating anxiety, trauma, perfectionism, burnout, and the particular exhaustion of always appearing capable while privately struggling. Sessions are collaborative, unhurried, and focused on what matters most to you.
Telehealth sessions are available to women in Arizona, Oregon, Ohio, and Minnesota.
Group Therapy
Group work creates something individual therapy cannot. The experience of being witnessed and understood by others who recognize themselves in your story. There is a particular kind of healing that happens in that room.
A structured group for high-achieving women is currently in development. If this is something you are interested in, join the waitlist and you will be among the first to know when it becomes available.
Coaching
Coaching is a different kind of work than therapy. It is forward-looking, goal-oriented, and focused on designing the life you want rather than processing the one you have had.
What I bring to coaching that most coaches cannot is clinical depth. I understand the psychological patterns that get in the way of the goals you set for yourself. The perfectionism that makes starting feel impossible. The self-doubt that follows every win. The over-functioning that keeps you busy but not fulfilled.
Coaching is a powerful complement to therapy, and a meaningful starting point for women who are not yet ready for it. It is not, however, a substitute for mental health treatment. If you are unsure which is the right fit, reach out and we can figure that out together.
